Von Bourg Saint-Maurice aus kann man zahlreiche Wanderungen unternehmen, von Familienausflügen bis zu sportlichen Wanderungen, vom Tal bis ins Hochgebirge.

Les Vernettes Chapel                    2½ hours  One-way            Elevation gain: 165 m
A family walk to discover one of the most beautiful baroque sanctuaries of the Tarentaise region perched in a glacial cirque overlooked by the Aiguille Grive (2732 m), the Aiguille Rousse (2488 m) and the summit of Aliet (3109 m).                                                               
                                                                               
La Sassière Valley                        1hour  One-way                Elevation gain: 180 m
During this walk you will have the chance to admire the marmots and with the help of your binoculars are likely to catch a glimpse of some chamois and ibex goats. This path is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs if you stick to the outward route.                               
                                                                               
Séez along the marsh trail                1 hour One-way                Elevation gain: 90 m
A walk between Bourg Saint-Maurice and Séez through the forest of Le Marais. Information signs along the route explain the ecosystem: the marsh, the reed marsh, the birds, the ever-changing “ubac”, or north-facing slope, the poplar forest, etc.

Aime along the cycle path                    2½ hours One-way            Elevation gain: 179 m
Walk along the banks of the Isère on a pedestrian path, ideal for roller skating or cycling and accessible to pushchairs.               

Rochefleur Rock                    1 hour One-way                Elevation gain: 70 m
A lovely walk along the mountainside, passing though forests and clearings, with the reward of superb views down on to the village of Séez and the resort of La Rosière. This rock is equipped for climbing.                                                                                               
Notre Dame de Tout Pouvoir                2½ hour circular walk      Elevation gain: 100 m
A family walk, along a mountainside trail, overlooking the Isère, with panoramic views over the villages of the “Versant du Soleil”.

La Balme Mountain Hut                                  1¼ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 345 m
A lovely walk to the foot of the Pierra Menta. This mountain hut is open from mid-June to mid-September.

Le Monal                                                  1¾ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 299 m
A delightful walk, but very busy in July and August. The chance to discover a typical hamlet at the foot of the Gurraz and Mont Pourri (3779 m) glaciers.

La Plagne Lake                                    2¾ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 580 m
A rather long but easy walk which offers superb views throughout. As a result this route is very busy in summer.

Le Lac sans Fond (Bottomless Lake)                        1hr 20 One-way                          Elevation gain: 303 m
This walk which reaches the Italian border offers a lovely view of the Alpine pastures which produce Beaufort cheese.

The Versoye Face                                  1½ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 213 m
A pretty walk alongside the Versoyen which crosses through forests, meadows and villages perched on the slope

Les Deux Têtes                                            1 hour One-way                              Elevation gain: 654 m
A circular walk through the forest of Malgovert. Beautiful views over the Haute-Tarentaise, the Roignaix massif (2995 m), the Petit St-Bernard pass, the peaks of Le Clapet (2615 m) and Lancebranlette (2936 m).

Saint Michel Chapel                              1½ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 533 m
A short walk offering panoramic views over the whole valley - the resort of Les Arcs, Peisey-Nancroix, Montchavin / Les Coches and the Mont Pourri and Bellecôte chain.

Col de l'Ouillon                                    5 hours One-way                              Elevation gain: 1116 m
A walk along the gateway to Italy with panoramic views along the Haute-Tarentaise valley, the resort of Les Arcs, the Bellecôte massif, Aiguille du Clapet, Roc de Belleface, Mont Miravidi and Mont Blanc.
               
Col de la Seigne                                    2½ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 727 m
This itinerary which is part of the Tour of Mont Blanc, offers spectacular views over the Aiguille des Glaciers and in the distance the Mont Blanc massif and the Robert Blanc mountain hut.
               
Robert Blanc Mountain Hut                            2½ hours One-way                          Elevation gain: 800 m
The Robert Blanc Mountain Hut lies on a mineral site accessible to everyone and offers unique panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the Vanoise massif.
               
The Five Lakes, Forclaz Lakes                    2 hours One-way                              Elevation gain: 582 m
A walk between the Tarentaise and Beaufortain regions offering some of the most spectacular views over the Haute-Tarentaise - Bellecôte chain, Mont Pourri, Petit St-Bernard pass - and a chance to discover the abundant flora.
               
Mya Lake                                            3 hours One-way                              Elevation gain: 850 m
A lovely walk right on the edge of the Mont Blanc massif, part of the Tour du Mont Blanc route, with superb views over the Aiguille des Glaciers and Les Chapieux Valley.
               
Col du Grand Fond and Lake Presset    3 hours One-way                              Elevation gain: 704 m
High-mountain atmosphere. The Grand Fond pass offers spectacular views over the Mont Blanc chain, the Aiguille des Glaciers, Nova, Pierra Menta, La Charbonnière pass…
